packaging to brown packaging.
In ongoing efforts to be good stewards to the planet, Solida will now be
shipping all prefinished Fusion P.E.T. (Performance Enhanced Technology)
products in brown cartons. This is a change from the bleached white cartons
Fusion Finish products have been shipping in.
Bleach (SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE) used in industrial processes is about double the
strength of home use bleach and releases something called AOX, or “adsorbable organic halides” when it breaks down. AOX is known to be toxic to shellfish and other marine
life. In the manufacture of bleach, dioxin, a known carcinogen is released.
Dioxen can cause birth defects and genetic disorders.
Solida will, as always continue to provide cartons containing a high volume of
recycled content thereby reducing the vast amount of energy and water needed
for the manufacturing process.
